Through picture books, drama, art, and creative play, discover the stories of people who lived before you were born. Imagine yourself as a child in a different time and find out what life might have been like when your parents and grandparents were young.

Adventures in Time | 2nd-4th grades

Create an imaginary time machine that can take you to any year in the past. Using the tools of drama and art, put yourself into moments in history and learn what you might have done then. Meet famous people you’ve heard so much about and discover people whose stories have never been told.

Broadway Beginners: Newsies | 5th-9th grades

Develop your skills in singing, dancing, and acting by performing scenes and numbers from the musical Newsies. Meet team members from the Sundance summer musical production of Newsies and learn about their experiences with the show. Perform in a showcase for family and friends at the end of the week.

Join us on imaginary journeys to lands beyond our own. Discover the stories and songs that people elsewhere enjoy, and learn what makes us the same and different. Hear and act out stories and use the tools of drama and art to explore the world.

Adventures Around the World | 2nd-4th grades

Create an imaginary doorway that lets us venture anywhere on the globe. Using the tools of drama and art, explore the stories that are told in other lands. Discover how the people are shaped by where they live and come to understand how others see the world.

Broadway Beginners: Beauty and the Beast | 5th-9th grades

Be our guest in a performance workshop that will refine your musical theatre skills Sing, dance, and act in scenes and musical numbers from Disney’s first Broadway musical, Beauty and the Beast. If you’ve never performed a musical, this is a great place to start!

Journeys in Space | kindergarten & 1st grade

Discover what it would be like to journey into space, or imagine the life of a planet, moon, or star. Meet the characters we picture at night in the constellations, and use drama and art to explore a planet that is nothing like our own.

Adventures in Space | 2nd-4th grades

Have out-of-this-world adventures when you build your own spaceship and create your own space-faring character. Using the tools of drama and art, go where no human child has gone before. Imagine what it would be like to explore the planets and moons in the solar system, and envision what lies beyond.

Playwriting | 5th-11th grades

Write character monologues and dialogues and build them into your own ten-minute play. Hear your work performed in stage readings at the end of the week in a showcase for families and friends. You’ll also brainstorm and contribute to the 2025 Noorda Theatre Summer Camp youth play.


9 a.m. - 12 p.m. | $130

Stage Combat | 5th-11th grades

Want to learn how to fight on stage with your bare hands or with weapons? Learn the basics of performing stage combat and doing it safely and convincingly. Be mentored by an experienced stage combat choreographer and showcase your skills on the last day of class.


Junior Musical: Into the Woods Jr. | 5th-11th grades

Mon-Fri, June 3-14 | 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Performances Fri&Sat, June 14&15 | 2 p.m. & 5 p.m. | $350

Be a princess or prince, a witch or a wolf, or even a dancing cow in this one-hour junior version of Sondheim’s most popular musical. Be taught and coached by UVU musical theatre teachers and students. All who register before the May 18 audition will be cast.

Backstage Basics | 5th-11th grades

Mon-Fri, June 3-14 | 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Performances Fri&Sat, June 14&15 | 2 p.m. & 5 p.m. | $250

During the first week, learn prop-building, costuming, makeup, lighting, and scenic painting in the morning workshops and practice those skills in the afternoon. During the second week, become a backstage team member for Into the Woods Jr. Learn to create theatrical magic from behind the curtain.

Youth Play: The Tempest | 5th-11th grades

Mon-Fri, June 18-27 | 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Performances Fri, June 28 | 2 p.m. & 5 p.m. | $195

Perform in this space-faring adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. The 50-minute script sets the wizard Prospera on a lone asteroid with her twin daughters, a pair of alien monsters, and powerful spirits who crash the Starship Tempest onto their sphere. All who register before the May 18 audition will be cast.
