I am new to the
Public Health major and am excited to be an intern with the Wellness Program! My current
career goal is to find a place where my skills and talents can be used to impact the
community in a positive way. Outside of my education and profession, I enjoy singing
in the Emerald Singers Women's Choir here at UVU, working on crafts, and spending
time with the important people in my life.
Hi, my name is Goby.
I'm majoring in Psychology and doing a certification in health and wellness coaching
and nutrition. Outside of school, I am a certified Yoga teacher and Pilates instructor.
I currently teach both Yoga and Pilates at the UVU gym. I always love having new students
drop by, so look out for my classes! In my own time, I love being in the kitchen,
developing and sharing recipes that are not only delicious and flavorful, but also
nutritious and budget-friendly. Additionally, I love creating posts and videos on
health and wellness topics that I am passionate about and editing them in a way that
exercises my creativity!
Hello! I’m from the
Gila Valley in Arizona and currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in health science
with a minor in Exercise Science and a certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching.
My goal is to work as a certified Health and Wellness coach when I graduate. I love
all things sports, reading books, going on walks, listening to music, and baking yummy
treats to share with loved ones. I'm super excited to meet all of you and work with
all of you!
I am currently
finishing my second bachelor's degree in health sciences with a minor in nutrition.
I plan on pursuing a master's degree in dietetics and becoming a registered dietitian.
My dream is to work in a clinical setting to help those with diabetes, heart disease,
and other chronic conditions improve their outcomes through the use of nutrition.
I also have an interest in helping those with POTS and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. When
I am not studying, I can be found spending time with my husband, 4 children, and our
2-year-old grandson. I enjoy playing the piano, singing, and trying out new exercise
classes.
I am currently
working on my bachelor's degree in healthcare administration. I will be graduating
this upcoming spring and would love to work in Public Health. I am especially passionate
about Global Health opportunities. During my internship, I am also working as a nanny
for 2 boys! In my spare time, I love to read and spend time with my family!
I'm a Public Health
major looking forward to graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in the Spring
of 2027. This year, I'm excited to join the Wellness Programs as an intern. Upon graduating,
I look forward to beginning a career in Public Health. There are many areas of Public
Health that interest me, so I'm waiting to see what opportunities are available before
I narrow down my career options. Time that I have away from school and work is spent
with my family, cooking, and listening to audiobooks.
I graduated with
a BFA in Modern Dance and a BS in Pre-Dance Therapy from UVU, where I am currently
a wellness intern. I also teach yoga at the SLWC. I am passionate about movement for
wellness and facilitating the connection between body and mind. My professional goal
is to earn a master’s degree and become a certified Dance/Movement Therapist. I love
spending time in nature, social dancing, and cooking for my friends and family.
Hi! My name is Alyssa,
and I’m from Riverton, Utah. I’m a junior at Utah Valley University studying Healthcare
Administration and starting as an intern with the Student Health and Wellness Program.
I’ve always loved helping others and have been fascinated by how the human body works
and how things like food and exercise can impact our well-being. My goal after graduation
is to work in healthcare administration, ideally with IHC or a smaller healthcare
clinic. Outside of work and school, I enjoy going to concerts (big Post Malone fan),
playing volleyball, and spending time with my friends. I’m excited to learn, grow,
and be part of the Wellness Programs team!
I am currently
pursuing a bachelor's degree in public health with a minor in Nutrition at UVU. My
career goal is to become a registered dietitian, and I hope to begin applying to dietetics
programs next year. When I'm not studying, I enjoy distance running, volunteering
with United Way, and practicing Spanish with my friends. I also love spending time
outdoors and enjoy almost any activity that gets me outside.
Hi everyone! My name is Kristen. I grew up in Lehi, UT, and now live in Orem. I’m
currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice and will be graduating within the
next year. Some of my favorite things to do in my free time are figure skating, practicing
yoga, and spending time outdoors. I decided to join this internship because I really
enjoy learning about health and reframing my mindset around what a healthy lifestyle
can look like. I’ve learned that health has many different aspects and that it is
not one-size-fits-all. I look forward to educating others and hopefully helping people
develop a more positive and well-rounded view of health.
In the future, I hope to combine the knowledge and experience I gain through this
internship with my background in criminal justice to help others in both areas. I’m
really looking forward to working with the student body this year and getting to know
you!
I earned an associate
degree in Pre-Medicine and Health Sciences and later completed my bachelor's degree
in healthcare administration from Utah Valley University. I am currently pursuing
my MBA and am passionate about advancing healthcare access and addressing health disparities
in underserved communities. When I'm not working or studying, you will likely find
me planning my next trip or spending quality time with my partner, family, and friends.
