need to know
Deadline for moving to microsoft authentication is this friday, July 15
UVU is implementing a new Passwordless authentication option for faculty, staff, and students. No password is needed. If you do not opt-in by July 15, your account will default to getting a text message for multi-factor authentication.
There are a few different options for the Passwordless system. The first step (that
needs to be completed by July 15) is just changing the type of authentication from
DUO to Microsoft Authentication. After that, you have the option to keep using your
network password to login or to use Windows Hello with a 6 digit pin (instead of your
password). This second step is optional, and you can go back and forth from a pin
to a password and vice versa. If you need help installing the Microsoft Authenticator
app (available from the Google Play Store or Apple Store), please talk to Leisa. Alex
helped her set it up so that she can help others.
See https://uvu.edu/passwordless for details.

Barry Bartlett
For those of you who remember Nancy Bartlett, her husband Barry recently passed away. Here is a note from her:
Last Tuesday evening my sweet Barry passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack. It was quick and painless for him (or so they have told me) but devastating for me and the children. Amazingly, Marshall and his family were here visiting at the time so I was blessed to be surrounded by all my family. There will be a viewing the evening of Thursday, July 7 at the Sanderson Walker home in Orem with the funeral service the following day at our Stake Center on 8th East. Details will be available on the funeral home web site. Please let anyone at UVU you think would want to know. I would do it myself but I have been set a bit adrift by this sudden change in life. I am amazed at all the details that assail one at the end.
Construction photos
Construction has not changed (on the outside of the buildings) recently, so there are no photos this week.
