Guided Hike & Facility Tour
Capitol Reef Field Station

Located at the end of the Scenic Drive within Capitol Reef National Park, Utah Valley University’s off-grid field station overlooks the lush corridor of Pleasant Creek. This event offers a chance to learn more about the field station, enjoy a guided hike, and build community in a remarkable and lesser-visited area of the park. The guided hike will begin at the field station and cover approximately 1.5 miles, with frequent stops for discussion, observation, and exploration. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience a quieter corner of Capitol Reef while deepening your connection to place and to one another. Participants are asked to practice Leave No Trace principles and help leave this landscape better than they found it. Open to all ages. Please bring sturdy shoes, a reusable water bottle, and come prepared to be outside.
