Associate in Science PRE-Forensic ScienceUVU has created an Associates of Science in Forensic Science as a preparatory degree to provide students an educational path in order to complete the Bachelors of Forensic Science Degree.  The AS degree provides an avenue for completing all general education, foundational science, math and criminal justice courses needed in order to apply for matriculation into the BS Forensic Science program.  Students must complete all courses in the AS degree, have an overall GPA of 2.7 (B-), and obtain a C or higher in all math, science and criminal justice courses. It is HIGHLY recommended you meet with our academic advisor regularly in order to stay on track to meet the admissions and application requirements for the BS degree.  The AS Degree requirements can be found here: Degree Requirements

MATRICULATION requirements

  • All Courses listed in the AS degree must be completed in order to apply to the BS Forensic Science Program
  • Must have overall GPA 2.7
  • Must have C or greater in all math, science, and CJ courses
  • Submit 2 letters of Recommendations-one MUST be from faculty
  • Must be admitted as a UVU student
  • Submit all transcripts

INFORMATION SESSION FOR SUMMER/FALL 2026 MATRICULATION APPLICATIONS

There will be a VIRTUAL information session held for any students who will be applying for matriculation into the BS of Forensic Science program for Summer and Fall  2026 semesters.  Please make sure you attend this session.  Information will be provided for the application process and what will be expected of you.  Please come with any questions you may have.
