“Having worked alongside the UVU Digital Cinema Program I can state that they have a top-notch program that rivals many of the great film schools throughout the country.”

Most of our students begin working professionally while they are still in school. They find work on film, television and commercial sets as production assistants and in art, camera and grip and electric departments. Many students work full-time on film sets during the summer. Other students find part-time work during the school year as editors and assistants in production companies and post-production houses. Upon graduating our students continue to work on sets as freelance film production professionals. Others find work as video specialists for corporations. Most remain in Utah and build the growing film industry here, but others travel to Los Angeles and to other media centers to work for studios and production companies outside the state. Our research has shown that 85% of our graduates find work in the film and media industry within six months of graduation.
Our Digital Cinema Production faculty are all working professionals with years of combined film and television industry experience. They bring this experience to the classroom, teaching students current industry trends, protocols, and technologies. They also use this experience to introduce students to industry professionals and provide them with invaluable networking opportunities
