A Media Enhanced Classroom (MEC) is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support effective teaching and learning. Each MEC features a ceiling-mounted laser projector controlled via an intuitive touch panel located atop the teacher station. The teacher station is fully equipped with a computer, a document camera, and other external connectivity options (for laptops, tablets, etc)—offering instructors versatile and reliable teaching tools.
Our campus classrooms have been standardized to include these advanced MEC setups in General Academic classrooms and teaching labs. Classroom technologies and systems have been standardized for consistency across campus. Currently, technology is updated on a 7 year refresh cycle. As such, there are slight variations from year to year, though we strive to maintain consistency. In addition to classrooms, we provide support for Lecture Halls and Event Spaces. Colleges and departments may request additional peripherals or customized functionalities as needed in these environments. Requests can be submitted through our Project Request Form.

To ensure faculty can fully leverage these technologies, we offer on-demand training. Our goal is to provide comprehensive support for every faculty member's training needs. These on-demand sessions serve as an educational resource, offering helpful information and serving as a valuable source of feedback.
