Student Success Series

Beyond simply providing tools and resources that facilitate student success, First-year Experience & Student Retention (FYESR) is actively engaged in the effort to change the academic culture of Utah Valley University with the result that all faculty and staff will participate in the recommended retention practices that can so dramatically impact student success. To this end we have implemented the Student Success Series to educate and engage UVU faculty and staff in best practices for first-year students and at-risk student populations.

Varying topics related to retention practices are offered on a quarterly basis in a luncheon format. When available, FYESR maintains a copy of the presentation (usually in DVD format) and supporting materials available for individual or departmental review. To access materials of a previously offered topic (listed below), contact Jamie Muhlestein, Assistant Director | 801-863-8404).
