CLEP exams allow students to earn college credit by demonstrating their knowledge in a variety of subject areas without taking the corresponding college course. These nationally recognized exams are especially helpful for students with prior learning, military experience, or independent study, and can accelerate progress toward a degree at Utah Valley University.

To receive credit for CLEP exams at UVU, students must request that their official CLEP score report be sent directly from the College Board.
How to send your scores:
It’s important to note that CLEP scores for exams taken on or after July 1, 2022, will be available for 10 years from the test date. Scores for CLEP exams taken on or before June 30, 2022, will be available for 20 years from the test date. UVU requires that scores be sent directly from the College Board to be considered official.
