The mission of the Department of Digital Media is to prepare students to combine art, science, and technology to create innovative and imaginative productions and solutions in the areas of animation and game development, digital audio production, digital cinema production, and web design and development, and to enter the local industry fully qualified to work and succeed as professionals in their respective fields.

The comprehensive curriculum, industry-experienced faculty, hands-on learning approach, and networking opportunities create an environment that nurtures creativity, innovation, and professional growth. Your journey to unlocking your creative potential starts here! Don't dream it; create it — join us and let your creativity thrive! There are so many opportunities in the four programs available. There is a place just for YOU."
Kim Brown, Department Chair

The DGM department currently has 1024 students across our four distinct fields of learning.

Our department has over 150 courses to select from, all taught by industry professionals.

The department was established in 2004 and celebrated its 20th anniversary in March 2023.

Each year, Digital Media hosts a showcase featuring outstanding student work from across our programs, including class projects, extracurricular work, and their senior capstones — final, portfolio-worthy projects completed during students’ last years of study. The showcase gives DGM students an opportunity to share their creativity, celebrate their accomplishments, and compete for awards and prizes.
We’re happy to celebrate our 2026 Showcase Projects and Winners!
