Location: UVU Clarke Building (CB) 510/511
The Utah Realtors Association and the Herbert Institute for Public Policy came together to discuss property rights.
The Founding Fathers viewed property ownership as an essential foundation of liberty and self-government. For many early Americans, owning property represented opportunity, stability, and the possibility of building a better future. Over time, these ideals became deeply connected to what we now call the American Dream.
But as home ownership—and especially land ownership—feels increasingly out of reach for many young people today, important questions emerge: Is the American Dream still alive? Is it still possible 250 years after the American experiment began?
The Herbert Institute invited constitutional scholars and property rights experts for a discussion of the promises of the Constitution and their place in the United States 250 years after its founding.
