Children of degree-seeking UVU students may attend the Wee Care Center. Care is provided during the parent’s class hours for children 6 weeks to 6 years old. Student parents taking at least six credits may qualify for subsidized childcare.
Priority consideration is given to families with the greatest financial need, students close to graduation, and full-time students enrolled in face-to-face classes.

The standard Wee Care tuition is $6 per hour per child. Childcare subsidies are available for qualified students through the UVU Parents in School Grant. Tuition rates for grant recipients range from $1.50 to $5.50 per hour per child.
To ensure your application will be processed in the order received, you need to complete the entire application packet. Failure to complete all required sections may result in your application being placed on hold and could affect your eligibility for enrollment.

Parents who submit their application within the timeframe for First Round Acceptance will be notified of their acceptance into the program via their UVU email after all application materials have been received, verified, and processed by the date listed above. Applications submitted after the First Round Acceptance deadline will be considered on a space-available basis and may take up to two weeks to process.
Completion of parent orientation is required for acceptance into the program each semester. Orientations may be asynchronous in the form of face-to-face, recorded videos or slide trainings.
You may request childcare hours equal to the number of credit hours you are enrolled in, plus additional hours based on your enrollment status:
Full-time students (12+ credit hours) may request up to 10 additional weekly childcare hours that will be subsidized.
Part-time students (3–11 credit hours) may request up to 5 additional weekly childcare hours that will be subsidized.
Please remember: All scheduled times must be entered in 15-minute increments. Use the following form ONLY when doing a schedule change. Your original form must be done in Qualtrics.
Fall 2026 Childcare Schedule Request Form
Please provide immunization records for each child attending the Wee Care Center using the required form.
If your child is not immunized, you must submit both a completed exemption form and a written notice. Information and instructions for obtaining an immunization exemption can be found on the Utah Department of Health & Human Services website.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is required for all Wee Care families regardless of your family’s financial need. Only one form is needed even if you have multiple children attending the Wee Care center. For questions, please review our Frequently Asked Questions document for the CACFP form.
You will need to provide one health assessment for each child enrolled at the Wee Care Center. This form informs us of any allergies, illnesses, or medical conditions your child may have.
If your child requires alternative meals, milk substitutes, or other diet accommodations, please fill out the Special Diet Form and email it to the Wee Care Center's email.
Tuition is due on UVU's Last Day to Drop
As part of your application, you will need to pay a $20 non-refundable family registration fee.

Once a child is accepted into the program, a “slot” is held for them based on the Childcare Schedule Request. Parents will receive an electronic Financial Agreement with their confirmed childcare hours and hourly tuition rate. Parents are responsible to pay for the “slot” Wee Care reserves for their child for the semester.
Parents who withdraw a child from Wee Care by UVU’s Last Day to Drop are responsible to pay for the hours their child was scheduled to be in Center and will be charged the full $6.00 per hour per child rate. If a child is withdrawn after UVU’s Last Day to Drop, the parent will be financially responsible for the total childcare cost listed on the Financial Agreement. Unpaid accounts will result in a hold placed on a student-parent’s academic record, a $75.00 processing fee will be applied to their account, and they will be sent to collections.
Tuition is due on UVU Last Day to Drop. Delinquent accounts may result in an automatic disenrollment of the child(ren). Tuition payments must be paid through the Smartcare Parent App with an ACH (electronic bank to bank transfer) or a credit card. Please note: credit card payments have a non-refundable service fee of 2.85% added to all charges. Questions about financial agreements can be addressed to the Operations Manager.
Wee Care cannot accommodate early drop-off or late pick-up of children. If a child is dropped off or picked up outside of their scheduled time, a $2 per minute per child surcharge will be automatically billed in Smartcare. Surcharge fees are not an agreement to provide unscheduled or after-hours service. Multiple infractions may result in a child’s disenrollment.
If a parent fails to pick up their child and/or contact WCC by their scheduled pick-up time an authorized pickup person will be contacted. If the child is not picked up within 30 minutes, the WCC will release the child to the custody of child protective services or other local authorities.
Financial agreements are based on a 15-week academic calendar during spring and fall semesters. During summer semester, contracts are for either 7-weeks, 14-weeks, or based on the schedules for specific programs.
Parents are given credit for holidays or days the Center is closed during each semester (see the Parent Handbook for dates). The credit amount is to the left of the “Total Family Tuition” on the Financial Agreement. We do not provide additional time to make up for the days the center is closed.
Financial Agreements must be signed prior to a child’s first day in Center. If additional schedule change requests are granted, an updated Financial Agreement will be sent.
Childcare during the week of final exams for spring and fall semesters is not included in your contract. Parents requiring childcare during final exams need to schedule their children at UVU's Hourly Kit Care
Changes to the “slot” reserved for a child based on the initial Childcare Schedule Request form can be submitted until UVU’s last day to Drop.
Each family may request one schedule change per semester at no cost. Any additional schedule changes will be charged a $25 processing fee.
To request a change, a new Childcare Schedule Request form must be emailed to [email protected]. Parents will receive a confirmation email if the request can be accommodated and will need to sign a new Financial Agreement.
Child(ren) may not attend during the requested changed hours until parents have received the confirmation email. Requests require two weeks to process, and changes are not guaranteed.
As of August 21, 2024, requests for extended hours beyond a child’s regularly scheduled care will no longer be available at the Wee Care Center. Parents will be directed to UVU's Hourly Kit Care Drop in Childcare Center. In the event parents require extended childcare time, parents, or their authorized pick-up people, must pick up their children on-time from the Wee Care Center and bring them to the drop-in center, depending on drop-in availability. Transportation of children from the Wee Care Center to Kit Care by Wee Care staff is unavailable.
The Wee Care Center is committed to providing quality care in a safe environment. A child may be disenrolled by the Center if it is in the best interest of the child and/or the WCC. IF a child is disenrolled, parents will only be responsible to pay for the hours their child(ren) were in care up until the time of disenrollment.
Disenrollment from the program may also occur if child immunizations are not current, tuition payments are past due, a child’s behavior poses significant safety issues, or other policies and procedures in the Parent Handbook are not adhered to.
Wee Care is not required to provide a year-end statement for tuition payments. We are required to provide parents/guardians with the following information:
