Empowering your Wellness Journey with Knowledge and Support

Everyone needs support at times to achieve their health and wellness goals. UVU Wellness Programs is here to help. Choose from one of our sixteen programs, and meet one-on-one with a trained health educator to learn about wellness topics and set personal goals. Our Health Education & Goal Setting programs are available to all students, faculty, and staff.

How to sign up for health education sessions

  1. Register for your program. You can find the registration link on the program pages listed below.
  2. Check your email for a message from your health educator to schedule your meeting.
  3. Arrive at SL 211 at your scheduled meeting time.
  4. Pay for your appointment, if applicable. Some programs are free, while others have program fees. Check your program page for more information.
  5. Meet with your health educator. Appointments last between 30 – 60 minutes, depending on your program.
  6. At the end of your session, you and your health educator will schedule your next appointment.

What to expect

Our programs are:

  • Evidence-based – Grounded in current research and best practices.
  • Topic-focused – Structured around specific health and wellness themes.
  • Facilitated by trained educators – Led by professionals or students studying public health or related fields.
  • Action-oriented – Designed to help you learn, build awareness, and take meaningful steps toward your goals.
  • Supportive and goal-driven – You'll receive guidance, encouragement, and accountability as you work toward your personal wellness vision.
  • Non-judgmental – A safe space to share your priorities and explore what matters most to you.

Our programs are not:

  • Therapy or medical services – While our sessions offer support, they are not a substitute for mental health counseling or medical care. UVU students seeking mental health services can connect with UVU Student Health Services for professional support.

Our Health Education and Goal Setting Programs

Health Education sessions are free, $15, or $35. Free sessions are one-week sessions, $15 sessions are 3 weeks, and $35 sessions are 6 weeks. You will pay for your program in person when you visit our office for your first appointment. (Financial waivers are available if needed.)

Health Educator

I received my Bachelor's in Public Health here at UVU while interning with the Wellness Programs. Since then, I have been able to continue as the Wellness Coordinator and am always looking to gain professional and educational development.  Away from school, I like to play basketball and guitar. Spending time building Lego's and in the company of my friends and family are other things that I enjoy. Physical Fitness, Stress Less, and Nutrition Strategies are among my favorite wellness education programs.

I am a UVU graduate with a degree in Public Health. I love teaching people about different health topics and helping them make behavior changes that will allow them to live their best lives. I love reading, embroidery, and spending time with my family. The coolest places I have ever traveled to are Alaska and Boston! My favorite health education programs are Stress Less and Sleep.

I am a UVU graduate with a degree in Public Health and a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. I’m also a mom to six kids with several adorable grandkids who keep life fun. I love interior design, the beach, ranch dressing, and getting lost in a good TV series or book. My focus at UVU is to foster a culture of wellness on campus, focusing on meeting others where they are in their pursuit of lifelong wellness. My favorite health education program that we offer is Never Diet Again - Intuitive Eating.

Health Educator

Hi, I'm Eliza! I'm from Cedar City, Utah. I am a Public Health major with a Nutrition minor here at UVU. I plan to start a master's degree in Dietetics next year to eventually become a Registered Dietitian. Outside of school, I enjoy running, sports, hiking, paddleboarding, and going to the lake. My favorite health coaching programs that we have here in the wellness center are Nutrition Strategies and Running for Beginners.

I’m currently working toward my bachelor’s degree in health science with minors in Nutrition and Public Health. In my free time, I enjoy going on walks with my dog, paddleboarding, and playing Animal Crossing. I also love learning new recipes, especially when it comes to baking and nutritious meals. Some of the educational programs that interest me are Intuitive Eating, Meal Planning, Social Wellness, and Live Happy.

When I am not at school, you can usually find me on a hike, going to a concert, or trying out a new recipe. I'mPerpetueDjudgina Pierre. I'm a new Utah resident pursuing my bachelor's in health sciences. I love to read, listen to music, play volleyball, and spend time with my family.   A fun fact about me is that I dream of petting a fox one day. As A pre-med student and medical assistant, I always feed my curiosity on how to help me, and others feel happy and healthy. Stress Less and Live Happy are my favorite health education programs.

Hi, I'm Hafisa! I'm originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Africa, and I'm currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in public health. I recently began my internship with the Wellness Programs and am excited to help promote health and wellness on campus. Outside of school, I enjoy singing, spending time with my family, and learning about different cultures. 

Some of my favorite health education programs so far include Nutrition Strategies and Physical Fitness.

Peer Health Educator

I am currently studying Business Analysis, with the goal of helping companies grow through effective HR practices, sound financial strategies, and thoughtful strategic management. Outside of academics, I'm passionate about building things, and I enjoy hands-on work that brings ideas to life. I enjoy driving and exploring how systems work, whether it's a car engine or a business model. I'm especially excited to take part in and help with programs like Stress Less, Social Wellness, Sleep Session – Making Sleep a Priority, and Making Exercise a Habit, as these things have helped me. I love learning new things and helping people.
