The Writing Center supports the writing goals of various UVU communities by providing flexible programs and resources tailored to the needs of diverse writers from all disciplines, aiding their access to a range of academic and non-academic literacies.

COVID-19 Modified Operations

Reflective of new CDC guidelines, masks will be recommended in UVU facilities but no longer required. As a mask-friendly campus, individuals may choose to wear a mask in any setting. The Writing Center is maintaining 6-foot social distance between individuals from separate households at all times. To protect everyone on campus and in our community, please stay home if you are not feeling well. It is also essential to continue to practice good hygiene while on campus. We will offer online and limited on-campus (face-to-face) tutorials until further notice, in accordance with campus safety measures.   • Online tutoring is available Monday through Saturday by appointment only. See the operating hours listed below. Patrons are limited to one appointment per day and three 45-minute sessions per week.

Students enrolled in English Language Learning (ELL) courses can get help with their writing, grammar, speaking and pronunciation, and many other personal English skills at the Writing Center.
ELL services assist non-native English-speaking students understand and successfully use academic English at an American university. ELL students may sign-up with a main center tutor via the online or face-to-face (on-campus) schedule.
