The Utah Valley University Writing Center works with any writer on any assignment at any stage of the writing process.

Due to emergency circumstances, the UVU Writing Center, Graduate Writing Center, and Writing Fellows are closed until September 15th. All appointments are canceled, and writers will be contacted about rescheduling. Thank you for your patience at this difficult time.

Fall 2025 Hours

Monday – 9am–4pm (in-person & online)

Tuesday – 9am–7pm (in-person), 9am–9pm (online)

Wednesday – 9am–7pm (in-person), 9am–9pm (online)

Thursday – 9am–7pm (in-person), 9am–9pm (online)

Friday – 9am–5pm (in-person & online)

Saturday – 10am–2pm (in-person & online)

Sunday – 12pm–3pm (asynchronous video feedback only)

The Writing Center will be closed September 1st and November 26th-27th. Hours will be modified during fall break, Thanksgiving break, and finals week.

Writing Consultations

In Person

In-person consultations allow writers to meet with a writing consultant in the Writing Center (FL 208) to review and practice writing concepts, share resources, and discuss the writer’s work and plans for writing and revision.

Online

Online consultations allow writers to meet with a writing consultant in real time and in a shared online writing space to review and practice writing concepts, share resources, and discuss the writer’s work and plans for writing and revision.

Video Feedback

Video feedback consultations are an asynchronous service that allows writers to upload up to five pages of their writing along with assignment guidelines for a writing consultant to review and provide formative feedback in a short, personalized video.
