Utah Valley University is seeking proposals for its academic conference on AI in the workforce. We're looking for papers and sessions that examine the evolving impact of AI on the workforce from scholarly, industry, and policy perspectives.
As Utah moves toward student-centered, workforce-connected pathways through First Credential legislation H.B. 260, the Mountainland Region is well positioned, with strong partnerships and exceptional supports already in place. Led by a team of UVU student researchers and developed in collaboration with the Gary R. Herbert Institute for Public Policy and UVU Workforce Alignment team, this white paper draws on interviews with regional leaders to examine the existing pathways system.

These guided visits connect faculty and staff directly with industry professionals — offering insight into how classroom skills translate into real jobs, and opening the door to lasting connections that can grow into faculty externships, project-based learning, guest lectures, and more.
