CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT Course Prerequisites

Minimum Elligibility Requirements for ALL Concurrent Enrollment and Live Interactive course:

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA on accredited high school transcript (Academic course)
  • 2.0 cumulative GPA on accredited high school transcript (CTE courses)
  • Homeschool students without an accredited transcript may substitute at ACT composite score of 22+ for academic course, or 19+ for CTE courses.

Language Immersion (Foreign Language Courses 3116 or 3117 or 3118) 
  • Pass AP Language or Literature exam in corresponding language with 3 or better

Testing Information

UVU accepts ACT exam scores for placement testing. Official scores must be received and entered into the UVU system PRIOR to course registration.  

 

ACCUPLACER (English Placement): The exam consists of two sections: Reading and Writing. The ACCUPLACER exam is administered at the UVU Testing Center. Up to three retakes are allowed in a two-week period with at least one day between each attempt. 

 

ALEKS® (Math Placement) allows students to place into the appropriate math course.
