As UVU employees, we’re all a part of helping to build the Utah Valley University brand. We do that through the exceptional care, exceptional accountability, and exceptional results we achieve every day. And we also do that by using a consistent look and feel across all the materials that we create and publish as a university.
By using the provided templates, you’ll have easy access to the UVU brand fonts, colors,
and other design components to use across everything your office creates.
Canva is an online graphic design platform known for its user-friendliness. It has lots of tutorials to help you get started, and it features an intuitive click-and-drag interface.
To get started with using our Canva templates, follow these steps:
If you like Canva and want access to even more UVU design templates, design components, UVU-specific branding resources, along with all the benefits of a Canva Pro subscription, reach out to University Marketing & Communications (UMC) to be added to the UVU Canva Team. Make sure to check in with your area’s marketing and communication representative (MarCom), as UMC provides access for MarComs and several additional users (exact numbers vary by area) at no additional cost. Once you’ve reached your user limit, UMC will charge a small fee ($135/per user, per year) for each additional user added. UVU employees do not need to pay for their own Canva subscriptions.

Square
The square version of the institutional mark is the primary representation of the University. This should be your default choice in all situations where size, placement, and usage appropriately permit.
Horizontal
Designed for limited situations, the horizontal logo is intended for special use when space or size constraints exclude appropriate use of the square logo.
Monogram
A simple logo best used for audiences already familiar with the University. For audiences outside of Utah, the square logo is recommended over the monogram.
Athletic Wordmark
UVU’s athletic wordmarks have been designed to stand alone or accompany the Wolverine.
Wolverine Mascot
The Wolverine mascot is the most recognizable symbol of UVU in the athletic community. That means making sure the Wolverine is used in the right colors, sizes, and combinations.
Combined Wordmarks
If you’re looking to use both the mascot and athletic wordmarks, use one of these options. Includes over and under configurations.
University Seal
The university seal symbolizes UVU’s growth from a vocational school in 1941 to the largest university in the state of Utah today. In general, save the seal for formal documents like diplomas and certificates. Contact us to request usage.
Secondary Mark
We use consistent logos across the university to showcase our shared campus culture. Secondary logos must be approved at the AVP or associate dean level (or higher) and by University Marketing and Communications before they are created and released. Campus entities are not permitted to create their own logos.
