All UVU students have an assigned academic advisor based on their declared major shown in myUVU. Advising is available through your program’s college or school or through the First-Year Advising Center for new students and those still deciding on a major.
Academic Coaching and Educational Standards (ACES) promotes students’ academic success and assists those experiencing academic difficulty. We help students become active and independent learners through increasing self-awareness, developing skills, and accessing resources.
The Academic Tutoring office is one of several tutoring departments on campus available to help you succeed. We focus on building lasting study strategies that empower students as they progress towards their academic goals. Academic Tutoring provides a Science Lab, a Business Lab, and a CET Lab with both in-person and online appointments.
Accessibility Services provides accommodations for students and visitors with disabilities, including temporary conditions and pregnancy accommodations. We support students through coordinating academic accommodations, connecting students to accessible technology and communication access, and hosting events and workshops to guide students throughout their time in higher education.
Students registered with Accessibility Services may request testing accommodations to meet individual needs. We can provide assistive technology, alternative testing rooms, and other accommodations as discussed with your Accessibility Services counselor.

The Emergency Response Team responds to medical emergencies on UVU’s main campus. Team members are volunteer UVU students who hold EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic licenses in the state of Utah.

Move your body and enjoy exercising with UVU’s fitness classes. Sessions range from yoga and Jiu Jitsu to Zumba, spin, and more. Classes are free to SLWC members or $8 per day.
The UVU Food Pantry is available to students, faculty, and staff struggling with food insecurity. We provide canned goods, boxed items, basic hygiene items, and several baby products. Perishable items like produce, bread, and milk may also be available. In addition to the Food Pantry, the CARE Hub also provides other resources to support students facing food insecurity.
Utah Valley University offers a variety of free software for students, including Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud. However, while Adobe licenses are available to all students, they are not issued automatically. Some students may need to request a license before they can access Adobe Creative Cloud.

GEAR UP is a federal program that supports eligible middle school and high school students as they graduate from high school and transition into college and postsecondary education. Admission to UVU is not required.
The Office for Global Engagement fosters international learning and cultural exchange through study abroad programs, international internships, and campus events. LinkedIn Learning is an online educational platform that offers over 15,000 courses to nurture professional development. Through these expert-led courses, UVU students and employees can acquire business, creative, and technology skills.
The Math Lab supports students’ understanding of mathematics and builds problem-solving skills that empower all students to become independent learners. The lab is open to UVU students and community members.
Currently enrolled UVU students can access basic medical services, testing, and procedures with Medical Services. No insurance is required.
Mental Health Services provides assessment, treatment, and therapy in multiple formats. We support students with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, grief, substance abuse, and relationship issues, among other concerns. Therapy is $10 per session for students enrolled in at least 9 credit hours during fall and spring semesters, or 6 credits during the summer.
Communicate with your class, meet remotely through audio and video calls, and collaborate virtually with Microsoft Teams. All students and employees have free access to the service.
MASH advocates for military-affiliated students, including veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, and their families, through education on Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits and a welcoming community.
The Money Success Center provides personal finance advising and education. We help students learn the financial skills they need to stay in school, graduate with minimal debt, and set themselves up for the future.
The Native American Excellence Program serves all students, staff, faculty, and community members from Native American, Indigenous, and First-Nation backgrounds. All students are required to complete new student orientation before they can register for classes. This applies to all students who are new to UVU, including new freshmen, transfer students, and fully online students. The orientation introduces students to the tools and resources you need to successfully navigate UVU campus.
The UVU Ombuds is a mediator who investigates and attempts to resolve complaints, problems, and conflicts between students and the university. We facilitate grading disputes, housing and landlord disagreements, academic complaints, and other problems you may encounter.
The Outdoor Adventure Center offers equipment rentals, adventures and excursions, and other programs that open access to the outdoors. We build connection, cooperation, and community through outdoor recreational activities.
All vehicles require a parking permit to park on campus. Obtain a parking permit, appeal or pay a citation, and learn about parking and transit options on the Parking Services website.
The Pre-Professional Advisement Center provides academic guidance, career counseling, and support services for students pursuing careers in healthcare or law.
Printers are available across campus through the campus Wi-Fi. Currently enrolled students for that semester receive $10 of printing credits each semester. Each page costs 5¢ for black and white and 20¢ for color. Please note that printing credits are cleared at the end of each semester.
The Reflection Center offers several spaces for prayer, meditation, and convening. We curate a space where students can express their religious and ethical identity and access opportunities for interreligious dialogue, interfaith education, and spiritual practice.

Students are expected to maintain high standards of conduct personally and academically. The Office of Student Rights and Accountability holds students accountable while ensuring the rights of individuals are respected. The Utah Valley University Student Association (UVUSA) gives students a voice on what happens at UVU. Participating as a student council member, department representative, committee member, or volunteer gives students a greater understanding of volunteerism, civic engagement, and citizenship.
The UVU Police Department has a full-time victim advocate that provides victim services to all UVU students, faculty, and campus community. Our mission is to provide services to all victims of crime with the utmost dignity and respect, and that any victim of crime will understand the resources available to them on campus as well as off campus. Information for victim services are free and confidential.
Child care is available for children of degree-seeking UVU students enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. The Wee Care Center provides care for children six weeks to six years old, and tuition is based on a sliding scale based on family size and household income.
Health Coaching programs support multiple parts of student health, from nutrition and intuitive eating to managing individual health conditions. Many of our one-on-one sessions are free, and financial waivers are available for some programs if needed.
Wellness Programs promote health and wellness for students, staff, and faculty at UVU. Educational and comprehensive events and services are available that promote wellness in all areas of life.
