Degree Breakdowns

  • CP - Certificate of Proficiency- Less than 30 credit hours. Typically 1 or 2 semesters to complete.
  • CERT - Certificate of Completion- 30–33 credit hours. About 1 year to complete
  • DIP - Diploma- 50 credit hours. Under 2 years to complete.
  • AA - Associate of Arts- 60–63 credit hours. 2-3 years to complete
  • AS - Associate in Science- 60–63 credit hours. 2-3 years to complete
  • AAS - Applied Associate in Science- 63–69 credit hours (some disciplines may require more due to specialized accreditation). Can complete in 2-3 years. This degree goes more in depth into the training needed for a career.
  • ASN - Associate of Science Degree in Nursing- 68-85 credit hours. 2-3 years to complete
  • APE - Associate of Pre-Engineering- 68-85 credit hours. 2-3 years to complete.
